Switched out Serial for PPP and ... we can now also use all the on device internet tools like it's 1999. Can telnet to the host with Hermes, so nothing lost.It's broken. Nothing works. Everything wants https and 50MB downloads.However this all works the way I want it now. Another revision of the lid and I'll print the final version.#Psion #Sidecar #BringBackTheOldWeb

@JF You're not helping my case in not getting one of these...I passed on the Gemini, but an actual Linux box in my pocket with a Psion-esque keyboard may just tip my happiness scale. And Pine64 have been doing good work.

For completeness, connected the #RC2014 Pro to the #Psion 3a. The Psion 3a has a max baud rate of 19200bps, and the RC2014 baud is tied to the clock speed, so this Pro is currently running at a speedy 1.2288MHz.Surprisingly adequate running Zork (3), but the 3a term is ANSI only, so no VT100.

@thelastpsion Ah, fair enough. I was getting excited there. Still would like to give the VT100 a try! Slowing down my RC2014 to 1Mhz still leaves a working system, but, you know, slow.

@thelastpsion #psion 3a with #nfsc talking to a #rc2014 pro (more like a zed at this point) @ 19200 baud, running Turbo Pascal 3. You're right, it can't go faster, but this handles pagination properly (if set to Terminal only mode). It's having a small wobble on CTS, but has a setting to ignore it.Successful test.
