something that i've been processing for the last few months.overhead a friend's friend comment "...the guy is 60-something and hitting on a 19 year old. i knew he was a pedo" i peek around the corner to look, about to interject. the one friend of mine there that i'm out to locks eyes with me with a pleeding 'please don't say anything' lookfelt so defeated, i went back to what i was doing. not feeling like being outnumbered in an unpredictable situation anyways. also that friend is very 'don't be public about it or even hint at it, cause i don't want to have the shame of associating with a pedo'makes me frustrated, and want to be louder and prouder

@buttonchovi eh, i only have two friends that i'm out if the toybox with that fully embrace me. dating one of them, and flirting with the other. so... *shrugs* just the slow and painful rotating of my friend group till i feel as safe as i can

@comrade_lecter the past accusations of grooming i faced where due to treating kids with respect, and not belittling them or interacting with them differently than adults in public fandom space. seems that treating a kid like a person can be cause for a kid to like you, and befrinding them is enough to cause rumors

@comrade_lecter honestly, i still think the last time i was attractive was when i was 15, with 11 being my peek. not sure if it was my own yap informed beauty standards that did it, or was a result of my bf's showing less interest as i grew olderin any case i do not want to have anyone feel this way
