       @textfiles I have six working VHS machines, unfortunately they are PAL and in Ireland. They occasionally get used to digitize old tapes.

       I have been messing about with GALs and CPLDs again. The tools are dated and clunky compared to FPGAs, but they are so much easier to interface for small projects. Was re-thinking my "El Cheapo" C64 REU idea again thinking about building it slightly differently.

       I know a lot of hobbyist electronics people hate SMD/SMT but honestly, it's easier than THT IMO. I was skeptical of that, but it uses less heat, is easier to rework, takes less space and is more energy efficient. What's not to love?#smd #electronics
