       @Teri_Kanefield So relate to this. Like you, my first experience volunteering on a campaign was for Jimmy Carter - it was his '76 presidential campaign and I was in high school. In 1980 someone came to my dorm room to say that Reagan won before I'd even gone down to watch the returns. It was absolutely heartbreaking.
