@TheWitchBitch I'm surrounded by male neighbors who are genuinely kind and good people and yet they really do see me as an audience pretty much whenever I walk outside. @HebrideanHecate @4WPub What is always interesting to me is the photos they select of themselves. Like they really find images in which they look arch, superior, and extremely disdainful of others attractive; like "yes, this is just the image I want to project to the world, this is how I will find my kindred spirits". I mean, okay? Fair enough?

@AllineCormier My daughter asks me a lot of unanswerable questions about lingerie. Why is it so fancy? No one is going to see it! Why is the fancy kind only for women? Why would anyone buy it? Why are there entire stores for only women's underwear? Why do they put the models in the window only in underwear? And then a place we drive by regularly: "what's a corset?" (old fashioned underwear). "Why would anyone want to buy old-fashioned underwear and why is it advertised in the window and why is there a whole store for it?"I am sure many people would find these questions "hilarious" and "cute" but they actually crush my heart, thinking about any possible honest answer to someone her age. I find myself saying stuff like, well, some people think that stuff is cool.

@AnungIkwe In percentage terms there are so few Indigenous people in the population, the damage these frauds do and the space they take up is so disproportionate and horrible. It is enraging.

@TriptychTwins-partdeux right -- what's the point of conservatism, even?the good part (if there is a good part) is that both sides are abandoning normies. Elites are for some reason fostering the very thing they most fear: that ordinary people will stop fighting one another and unite. It's puzzling to watch but show signs of promise.

@ArtistBristol The most upsetting part is how many people are involved in this chain, especially given that some of the skin ends up in the U.S. This is not one crazy weirdo with a terrrible idea, this is a network of people all helping to make this happen.

My dear SpinstersIt's been a wonderful nearly three years, but I'm finding this party is a little bit too much fun to allow me to get enough work done!
