sto provando a mettere Mint su un tablet con tastiera windows. chiavetta pronta per l'installazione e inserita. arrivo al menu di setup del dispositivo, opzioni di boot e posso scegliere solo tra Windows boot manager e disabled. con il primo mi riparte allegramente con windows, il secondo mi spaventa ma è l'unica altra opzione, drive USB non lo trovo da nessuna parteche faccio?

la chiavetta carica la live di mint sul mio computer principale, quindi lei funziona bene. sul tablet sto ripristinando windows da zero e vediamo se riesco a fargli vedere l'opzione usb per il boot (dubito, ma se per una volta le robe filassero lisce non sarebbe male)

@fiore no, non cambia niente (ci ha messo due ore per ripristinare windows, mannaggiallui). tra l'altro ho anche impostato una password per il setup (come amministratore) perché avevo letto che in alcuni casi poteva essere sufficiente e mo' non riesco a disabilitarla. ho provato con bootrec /fixboot ma mi dà accesso negato...

i'd like to install Linux Mint on an Asus Windows tablet with keyboard (model h101, Windows 10, 4 GB RAM, 64 bit) but when i start with the bios, the only option it shows for boot is "Windows Boot Manager" (the other is: "disabled"), no USB drive (i have prepared an installation FAT32-formatted pendrive with Mint, using unetbootin)i keep trying possible solutions that i've found online, but none seems to work, for now.do you have any suggestion on how to get it booted from the usb?thank you!

@rose apparently it was a pen drive problem, even if i tried it on my laptop and it worked, it couldn't be seen as a boot loader by the tablet. tried another one that i've found and i am now installing mint... it seems to be working. thank you!

This thing that apparently Microsoft Word does not support comments in footnotes but LibreOffice does made me lost all the notes I created in a docx file (a format I have to use for work).Since I had the feeling that something was wrong and comments were disappearing, I exported the file with comments as a pdf, which kept the comments. So now I just have to copy them to the docx file, but in the reference number of the footnote and not in the footnote itself. Do I have to add what I think about Microsoft? Everybody should get rid of their crappy software!
