@halcy Because it has lots of tangible benefits:- Text, voice and video chat- One-Click Streaming- Super easy to create and manage servers, channels and users- Slick UI- Good performance, audio/video quality, Krisp audio- Gaming integration- Multi platform supportThere's probably a lot more but that's just off the top of my head.And then, because it appeals to many, friends and acquaintances using it becomes another benefit.E2EE, privacy protection... A lot of people don't care too much about of these, and for a far larger group, these things are not *tangible*.So to beat Discord, an alternative would have to offer all these features, or at least a nearly-complete subset of these.It's a bit too idealistic to think that lack of encryption, data breaches and AI integration will suffice for most people as reasons to leave Discord.
