@eriner your right... did not think it true at the moment of writing... :P i have 2 boxes 1 live and second for nightly backup and when needed i can switch manly i am on zfs whit 2mirriors/raid10 pool on nvme and a 2mirrror hdd+cache on sata-ssd. os is also on the ssd in mdraid mirror. :P

@eriner an idee to do a remote backup. and when nas go bad a remote server could spin up from latest backup? what disk size,cpu,ram bandwidth. needs the server?

@dave @csb @adam i dont get all those broken umbrel stuff... mine is runing since 2021, moved from a vm to a pi to a vm. on the pi 4 8gb i needed to reboot when mempool got busy. otherwish it always runs fine.

@csb only 1 fully linux server as a dev box... all else is windows. we have one client and al there boxes running linux lets say 8 places 16 pc uptime 24 hours a year.....

moving from a opensuse hypervisor to a porxmox server. any tips for auto install, firewall settings for main host? afther a broken server / reinstall... i want to be be back up and running when i need new hardware. planning for more than 1 zfs pool... 1 for rpool and others for data and disk images etc...

@eriner ok a deeper dive pleas:P install is easy, did it 25 times last week... i want a kind off post install.sh script so on a clean install i dont have to set up firewall rules, "external' zfs pools. a way to add partitions after installation...
