@mayuutannI mean both have good reasons.One the one hand: Multiplication within the complex numbers is commutative and therefore the result doesn't change. So the order doesn't matter.On the other hand: There are many other operators and structures on which multiplication is not commutative (e.g. matrix-matrix multiplication).Of course for just multiplying with "normal" numbers it's fine to ignore order but in a strict technical sense it doesn't, it just doesn't change the result.

@jeybe Well it's much more of a thing for myself. Fedilab has this helpful reminder I haven't set a caption but on desktop with the web ui I sometimes forget to add one. "delete and re-draft" is an option if I notice in time but it always comes at the cost of sending virtually the same toot again. It would be much more helpful if the images are marked somehow or a warning appeared before posting.
