Rewrote RND Dungeon on RPoD to feed off a data file with 52 rooms (can be unlimited). It is still random, so occasionally you get things such as a door leading to a door. I wanted a leather bound "Tome of Mapping." (a hardback book of blank graph paper) I could find nothing like this, so I made one. I used 11"x17" graph paper, embroidery thread to sew the signatures, some press board for the covers, some faux leather to cover the outside, elmers glue to secure things, and some cotton fabric to cover the spine. I think it turned out well.

As a kid, I always skipped Prince Valiant in the Sunday paper. Man, was I misguided. Prince Valiant is one bad ass some bitch. I am completely hooked. I have volumes 1 & 2 coming to sit beside Conan on my book shelf.

Forming ideas for an AD&D 1e game world utilizing Spelljammer and Planescape. It would be an interesting place for my fighter to live, I think.

Fun of the day: installing the AD&D Core Rules and Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas in a Windows 2000 VirtualBox VM. I have the VM setup with an HP Laserjet Postscript Printer, attached to the Print To File port. Then I point the printer to the Z: drive which is my Linux home directory on the host machine. In this way, I can print generated characters to a ps file and use ps2pdf in Linux to convert them to a handy PDF file for use.

@cat @solderpunk I have a USB tape deck that I used for the distro. Levels were automatic using that. Prior to that piece of kit, I used another tape deck via RCA cables from a USB audio interface. I kept a tape laying around just for setting levels, then recorded the tape I needed. I have a 5 deck duplicator as well, but it needs new belts, and I never needed the capacity...

@solderpunk It's all good... so far it has been self driving. There is a userbase of posters and the content has been fairly interesting.

I have been binge researching herbs and primitive cooking from ~18th century and before. I think I'll bake some bread sometime in the next week without store bought yeast. Also on the list is a batch of pemmican. My wife and I have a pretty good indoor garden growing including dandelion as I want to make some dandelion coffee. In addition, I have perfected my tortilla recipe: 3 cups flour, 1/2 cup lard, 1 cup boiling water, 1TSP salt, 1TSP baking powder.

@visiblink pemmican can last for 30 years with no airtight container... you are correct on the berries, but it adds a good flavor! I do subscribe to the Townsends channel. Their video taught me about yeastless breads, and rendering suet. I'm planning on seeing if my local butcher will sell me some kidney fat next time we go shopping.

I have made a wiki at gitlab for my campaign data, etc. Definitely a work in progress. It is also mirrored on RPoD in the GAMES SECTION. I have the basic sketch of my Spellscape campaign and the map of the Crystal Spheres I am using.https://gitlab.com/leveck/rpg-play/-/wikis/homegopher://1436.ninja/1Games/rpg-play.wikihttps://leveck.us/1436.ninja:70/1/Games/rpg-play.wiki

DriveThruRPG is experiencing delays due to the pandemic, so it is 22 days and counting that my Spelljammer: Adventures in Space sits unprinted, and unshipped. In the meantime I am going through my Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, and Greyhawk books to select locales my characters are from, and spots of interest they (may) end up. My party will likely all be from FR, as I have the 3rd edition Campaign Setting, and 2nd edition Atlas books which are both excellent.

For NPCs, I am planning on using the Shady Dragon Inn, and Masks: 1000 NPCs books which contain combined 1100 premade nonplayer characters -- surely more than I will ever need. For an oracle I am planning on using the Game Master's Apprentice Fantasy Deck. The ruleset is AD&D first edition, including Unearthed Arcana. Everything else in this solo campaign will stem from my imagination, and dice rolls.
