Re nostalgia: while all long-running franchises are beholden to it these days, I still marvel at the precious abberation that is #Andor. Who would’ve thought that in 2023 #StarWars managed to do something like that and outshine other franchises, most notably #StarTrek that has full-on descended into its own past, with nothing new under the sun in sight.

You can complain about onboarding and UX all day, but the one big sell of Mastodon for me is that it’s not a big sell: it is non-commercial, non-profit, ad free and doesn’t fck off your data to some marketing ahole.

You know what sucks with #StarWars television? That all these shows have to somehow build towards the sequel trilogy. Just imagine if they wouldn't have to. If you could organically develop a grand story arc from #TCW and Rebels, through Mando and #Ahsoka, towards a way more interesting future of Star Wars than TROS. I have a little bit of hope that, given the sequels happened WITHIN ONE YEAR in-universe, we can just jump passed them and regard them as "that weird week in November" or so.
