       @lightweight @chanezon Given that I’m effectively my own boss that’s on me. 😀 It’s a combination of team preferences (I’m outvoted) and client needs with us - doing what we need to do with native Linux rather than Windows is possible but adds a tremendous amount of overhead. So WSL is a good compromise for us

       @lightweight @chanezon Oh, it’s certainly possible in principle to generate docx reports that will work with a CMS in the pharma industry. It just isn’t easy, and since we’re just five busy people with no IT department, there’s a time dimension as well.

       @lightweight @chanezon This is true, but neither work well with our automated reporting systems, which were built around Word. We could build new ones, sure, but it’s money and time which we don’t have. So WSL=best of both worlds, at least until one of takes a 6 month sabbatical to build something new.
