       @futurebird Now what if they invested as much money as they've invested in that image generator in funding the hand-drawn animation industry... the whole thing has me thinking that we as a society misunderstand what we should be automating. Art is not something we should try to make more efficient. The effort itself seems essential.

       @futurebird @dotsie @ainmosni I have that reaction to AI generated music to some degree. I think synthesizers and electronic music was very controversial when they first came, but time has shown that they are totally fine - at least when you can feel the human intention and expression through the tools. Will we ever feel that through AI generated media?

       @futurebird what precisely constitutes proof? (I know to some degree now but remember that when we first encountered the idea in school, proofs weren’t defined, just illustrated by example.)
