A story about the time a fellow who, introduced himself to me by announcing his intention to end my life, and how I foiled that attempt. With digressions onto topics including cosmic coincidences, mortality, Chewbacca conversations, Fucked Company, a visit to a former fiancée, training with free weights at the firehouse vs with resistance bands at Gymnasium Pandemica, a lukewarm book review that had great effect, and further explorations of the ancient art of weaving.https://open.substack.com/pub/johnsundman/p/when-i-got-knifed

Just back from seeing @pluralistic at Strand Bookstore in NYC doing a reading from his new novel The Lost Cause and discussing related topics nonstop for 90 minutes. That guy is a machine (among other things he wrote 9 books during peak Covid. Also pretty generally brilliant. I enjoyed the extended selection from The Lost Cause and I was very impressed by his reading of it.
