@ParadeGrotesque So much effort when you could just ignore it entirely or change the port ;)

@allison Dano source was leaked ages ago. What do you think Zeta was based on?

@Haydar @horia So OpenBSD doesnāt just feel slow. I had the impression that surfing in Firefox on my ThinkPad was noticeably slower than on the same machine in NetBSD, but thought I just imagine it because you canāt feel a 10% difference. Apparently itās much more than that then :(

@galaxis Uhm. Tor cannot use a proxy. It only acts as one. So I think what you actually did is configure TorBrowser to not use Tor.

@ParadeGrotesque Nice! How is it so far? Do you think you could give a short review? And how did you manage to get it before preorder? :)

@toni @tek You can always click the button to load then if you have to - but I usually donāt. Itās basically only spam mail that needs remote images.

@ParadeGrotesque Why did you get it with a US keyboard and they later say the US layout is weird? How is the touchpad, compared to MacBook Pro?

@cj Kinda disagree on the Germany part. Itās only true if there is a broad prohibition and the some corner cases that are allowed. By usually everything is allowed unless it is forbidden. Are you mixing up Germany and Switzerland? E.g. in Switzerland you can only park your car where allowed, while in Germany you only cannot park it where itās forbidden.

I'm moving back to @js. I don't know what happened in the current debate, but regardless, I do not wish to have an instance dictate me what parts of the Fediverse I am allowed to see. We do not accept ISPs filtering the web, and I think this is no different. If *users* want to block someone or an entire instance, that is fine. But that should be a *user's* choice, not the choice of the service provider. I think there is value in seeing what people you disagree with write.
