Also, as an actual scholar and practitioner of Public Relations whoever wrote this mealy mouthed “please bully me some more” statement needs to be fired and blacklisted from the industry. It’s like they wrote it to make everyone MORE angry, not less. Absolutely amateur shit.

I had to tell a heterosexual this morning: in the 90s, people could get fired for being queer but most generally found it distateful, whereas now in Texas and Florida it is mandated by the state. It is *WORSE* and far more so for trans folk. They had no idea. The media is failing its public duty to inform the public. Unless they go digging for small buried stories about the pogrom against us, they have no idea because editors refuse to front-page this. It’s horrifying.

Why are people so shocked and outraged that APIs are being locked behind high price walls? What did they think would happen after OpenAI got a $30b valuation from scraping unrestricted data without permission and refusing to build or use safeguards?Generative AI fundamentally broke the web and we’re all going to be far worse off because of it.

My initial reaction to the fascists turning their sights on Chick-fil-A for, let us be clear, admitting queer people exist, is that I was coincidentally laid off from a consulting firm shortly after expressing discomfort at their having Chick-fil-A as a client because of their aggressive homophobia. Kim Catrall’s Netflix show Glamorous is what And Just Like That should have been (younger, queer, graceful aging), but instead SJP gave us unwatchable tokenism and hedonism. Oh well.Kim Catrall is perfection. She and Miss Benny are perfectly paired, it’s a really neat dynamic. HBO seriously missed it.
