@JRLarsen I hate people using ASAP. It can only mean "I want you to do this now" which is rude and unnecessary IMHO. Big debates at work about this phrase.

@pavot urgency can be communicated better. ASAP is pretty much a given.I would suggest that we always do things as soon as possible for clients. The alternative would be sitting on our hands for no reason.So really it isn't communicating urgency, it is communicating the clients desire which isn't any different than "I want you to do this now" but maybe less honest and more manipulative. Maybe not that far... But it can feel like this.

@badrihippo @aral This is an interesting conversation. I have been using fosstodon.org to try out the concept but I don't feel good about using resources. I would rather run my own instance.I want something that is as small and light as possible. One docker container setup ideally. gotosocial would be great if it has a web front end.What are the options in terms of hosting your own small instance?

@stux The suggestion is that we didn't notice "shrinkflation", which wasn't true in our house. We all saw it happen and were cross about it. But what can you do when everyone is doing it? There wasn't a good choice that could be made.Actually shocking to see the UK government defend it tbh
