My favorite is always the doorbell videos of "Suspicious man walked by my house." You watch the video, and it's just a black man going for a walk, not slowing down or anything by their house. Same exact people who virtue signal all day about being great people.

All words are meaningless now, which was the point. Fascist now means "guy I don't like" but then normal people hear fascists and think the real meaning and get concerned. When it's the government shutting down businesses over a sickness it's for the greater good, when it's Desantis telling people to enforce existing laws and not wave your dick around a child it's fascist.

I ran a mastodon instance back in 2016 and with two local accounts it ate all the ram and CPU my server would give it. Much better now that there are alts not in Ruby on Rails.

I'm probably celebrating harder than I have in years. Not specifically because #SCOTUS removed some racism from the laws though that's good. I'm doing it because I have kids that need to see stuff blow up, flags flying, and people celebrating living in America. People need to realize it can get MUCH worse and I don't think complaining online will push us in the right direction.

Grew up in Michigan and family still lives there, its pretty corrupt. I moved out of state in 2010, my dad got a mail in ballot for the 2020 election for me sent automatically to his house. I never actually voted at that address. My older brother also got a ballot sent to my dads and he moved out before me. Also for governor they threw out a bunch of Republicans off the ballot for primaries for not having enough signatures though one of the people was leading in the polls. My understanding is MAGA is not Trump yes he branded it and is associated with it but it was a movement before him and hopefully after him. MAGA is not standard uniparty Republicans, more like the freedom caucus people in the house.

Agreed, there isn't a single "issue" you can be like "that is MAGA". Personally pro MAGA I had no interest in Republicans, now there are like five good ones for what I generally like. We could he had Ron Paul instead of Mitt Romney in 2013, so the Republican party is trash in my mind.

Maybe you should realize this issue is wholly created by the US and what happens when we try to be world police. USA overthrowing the Ukrainian government then installing our own and pushing NATO all knowing that Russia would attack Ukraine if we did it. This is all according to Bill Burns, CIA director, with the whole "Nyet Means Nyet" memo that leaked from 2008. Then the USA has stopped negations that would have ended this war faster.
