@leo It's wild that the decentralization is the part that people can't wrap their heads around. Like what do you MEAN there's no Mastodon, Inc.? How can that be?

@herag It's a little horrifying that a simple piece of advice from an absurd 80s comedy is more relevant, insightful, and useful than anything we get from our elected officials.

@leo I tentatively agree. There are folks I'd love to have on Mastodon that just aren't going to use it. They probably will use Threads. If I can follow and interact with them, awesome. What I'm worried about as a personal instance runner is that Threads will overrun my All feed with crap. And I don't want that.

Okay #Salesforce people...the time has finally come. After 4 years of being the primary point person for all things SF at my company, they're finally letting me tag along to #Dreamforce this year. What advice or recommendations do you have? (That don't exist only to keep eyes on your blog.)

@SecondJon Thank you! This is all really good information and the kind of thing I was looking for. I'm also thrilled to meet someone else with Field Service experience. I mean, I know people use it, but it feels like I've been living in a FS silo.

Overnight weather here in Maine has been SO NICE the past couple nights. Down in the mid 50s - I had the windows open and woke up to a slight chill. 100% my favorite sleeping weather.#maine #weather #sleep #zzzzzz

@frank It was a beautiful Sunday. I've been trying to get up north, but it's been so hard to find time when my kids are running in 100 different directions every week.

@grammargirl I prefer the Starbucks blond roasts (like Veranda) to their others, but generally I don't care for any of them. I can tolerate them and will buy sometimes, but lately the Dunkin' Original has been my go-to. It's a good daily coffee. Newman's Breakfast Blend is pretty good.

I need some help? #MusicNerds. Back in the late 90s-early 2000s an album came out. It was a young woman, singer songwriter, but as I recall she did a little rapping on the album. Up until last week, I was confusing the cover with Lana Del Rey's debut. She's on the cover, blond, maybe wearing a plaid jacket or skirt....---I got the name "Nelly" and "Mc" something stuck in my head. That was enough to get me to Nellie McKay. A lot of my details were off, but we got there. Thanks for reading.

I'm not sure how I confused the two albums. Listening to the Nellie McKay now though, at least I got the singer-songwriter who raps a bit right.
