Un lector actual de Euclides las pasaría canutas para entender ideas que se enseñan en primaria. Eso se debe a que Euclides usaba lenguaje natural para explicar conceptos matemáticos.Siempre me ha llamado la atención que haya tanta gente que vea el lenguaje natural como la opción más sencilla para comunicar ideas (o, en este caso, ejecutar tareas), porque lo cierto es que las notaciones científicas se inventaron por una razón. Lo mismo pasa con los lenguajes de programación.Para crear un buffer, yo prefiero teclear C-x C-f y escribir un nombre. No me cuesta nada. Para algunos tipos de archivo, además, tengo plantillas que me rellenan campos por defecto. Si tuviera que escribir o decir lo que quiero cada vez, me moriría de asco.

A ver, señores: si no nos gusta Google, lo que hay que hacer es no usarlo. “Es que si no, nadie conocerá Mastodon.” En primer lugar, eso no es necesariamente malo, pero además ¿de qué sirve? Si os habéis dado un golpe en la cabeza y queréis que esto se haga popular, contádselo a vuestros amigos (porque tenéis amigos, ¿verdad?), familiares, etc.La vida real existe y podéis usarla para hacer cosas. I may be late to the party (apparently it was republished in 2016), but still a pretty good article if you haven't already read it. One thing it does not address, however, is the question of what triggers that something in people to become nazis. That is where I think the key lies. It is a work of years, to make them feel unwanted, unloved, unappreciated, and then get someone to uplift them. It was not unknown in Western Europe at all, just more expensive than a ZX Spectrum or an Amstrad.I bet this is the same people that think the Commodore64 took the world by storm when it mostly sold in the US.

This post reminded me of a blog called The Nihon Review which was active more than fifteen years ago. They were cool people (they had an IRC channel, so you could chat with them) and saved many a series from obscurity thanks to very thoughtful reviews and essays. I wish they came back.

Thanks to having an alt, I realised that Mastodon did what I predicted a couple of years ago: they implemented quote posts in an incompatible way with everybody else. If you read some post of mine and it makes no sense, there's a good chance you are missing the quote I'm commenting on as Mastodon doesn't show it. I will have to use links from now on.
