       @person I feel like it's probably cause it's easiest. Javascript has a ton of libraries that are available for doing that kinda thing, probably less so for lower level cross platform frameworks like in C, C++, etc.Electron can be awesome if done well. Whalebird is an example of it being done very not well.If you find a good cross platform Mastodon client lmk, what I found was so pitiful I was just considering forking a Twitter client. 😔

       @io @Mia @joa Yea. I have bash scripts to do a setup for a fresh install, but it's basically to get it to a point to install fish lol. I only use fish in my day-to-day every day, why not assume I'll always have it on my system?

       @person I know you've got all the common ones covered but I'd also throw in the Open Standard License for copyleft or Blue Oak.It's weird that a few of the ones on the list are considered deprecated now.
