well that didnt take long:moltbook launched with a major security flaw: its entire database was left open with no authentication, exposing api keys, tokens, and agent ownership. anyone could take over any ai agent and post anything as them, including scams or fake statements. researchers confirmed this was real and exploitable, not theoretical. the fix was trivial... two sql commands enabling row-level security... but it wasnt implemented in time. the result is that millions of records were exposed, trust in the experiment is broken, and no one can tell which posts were real and which were hijacked. -source😂🤷♂️
