Got impatient waiting for a PSU for the A1200, knocked up something using a Pico ATX. I get a purple screen which could just be that the pico hasn’t got enough amps to through around or could be something inside - I guess I’ll wait for a PSU #RetroComputing

The game is 'working' in the sense that all the mechanics are in place. Lots of problems though, there's a weird Neo Geo issue where if you scale a sprite it fills the space with junk and for some reason two frames don't have transparent backgrounds. #IndieDev #RetroDev #RetroGaminghttps://youtu.be/Mwi3n2WffKc

People seem to think I’m against the Commodore currently being crowdfunded - I’m not, I’m fully for a new accessible machine - my problem is that all the marketing around the machine is very obviously an ego trip. It’s not the old Commodore come back again, the same that the previous owners weren’t Commodore, it’s not a new machine, it’s a bargain collection of existing proven components. None of these things were necessary- they were just to puff up self importance

And then they hire someone seemingly solely because he was on a TV program about IT, who has a troubling accusation hanging over him.All unnecessary, none of that stuff needed to happen, it wasn’t important to what people wanted. It was just to make people feel important. The website is just a word salad with contradictory information (check out the use of AI for a good example)

And this whole situation has become like a cult, people are even paying bot farms to post negative comments on any video that even seems to be against the product. And it’s going to get worse, once the units go out to the uhh, let’s say morally flexible, YouTubers and bloggers this ego trip will just get out of hand. Why am I so vocal about this? Because I’ve seen what the endgame is, we all have, and I know how this hurts the community if it goes unchecked

It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to step back to this project - largely because it’s pricey to make the boards, but also because I wasn’t entirely sure where I went wrong with the last board, everything seemed to check out.

We're taking a look at Fujitsu's first proper boxed up computer, the Micro 8 - but not just that, we're looking at the rarer and funkier bubble memory drive too https://youtu.be/ach_WvR3x_U #RetroComputing

I found my GP2X breakout board, no PSU though and I can’t remember what it needs. I’ll look it up, it’ll be fun to see if it still works

This is an oddity, it’s a MELCARD, which is a form of PCMCIA for industrial use, instead of pin holes at one end it has contacts under a sliding metal shutter. Usually used for storing configuration data

Apologies to the person who said I should check the membrane on the 464+ listening to them instead of following the symptoms would have saved me a bunch of time. Anyhoo, fully working 464128+
