@esmail @hen technically, you might be able to achieve something similar that way, but the real benefit is you're gaining of fingerprinting protection and the longevity and simplicity.

@nitrokey is it going to be a Pixel tablet with GOS? That would be nice if Nitrokey is going to offer to remove the mic and camera just like with the Nitrophone.

@thenewoil and now it does the same for me... Not sure how the hyperlink changed because my DNS doesn't resolve the yahoo subdomain that was originally there... So I was just stuck on a page that never resolved. On Mastadon here too it showed that the hyperlink went there and now it doesn't show that.

@thenewoil honestly I think this is anecdotal, especially when it comes to maintainance. My own anecdote, once I get past the hurdles of switching to something I like, like the transition from gmail to proton, switching back and using google for example is much much more of a hassle. I can't even make a google account without it getting flagged.

@thenewoil I always assumed gas pumps were all hardwired. I'm not even certain how or why Bluetooth would even be used.
