@jehan I sympathize. I mean, they'd have to either build a custom OGG/Vorbis player, or encourage people to downgrade their browser and install the Flash plugin, and who wants to turn away viewers?

@clive In the nineties, I was invited to serve as an expert witness in a court case about font software piracy, in which the court reporter’s transcript recorded that I'd talked about how the defendant "just scaled the cliff" a number of times. I couldn't make any sense of this; it sounded like a clipped metaphor, but not one from my lexicon. Twenty-three years later, I realized that the phrase should have been “scaled the glyph.” Fair enough.
