On LinkedIn someone sent me a message about an open job. I asked what it would pay. The person responded asking what my "expectation" was, to which I replied:My expectation is compliance with California Labor Code - LAB ยง 432.3, effective January 1, 2023, which requires employers of 15 or more to include reasonably-accurate pay ranges in their job postings.

@collectifission @hanse_mina This highlights the need for government that is stable, strong, and trustworthy as a prerequisite for having safe nuclear power.So far, France has done a decent job.Not so much in Fukushima, Chernobyl, or Three Mile Island.

@feld @collectifission @publius @hanse_mina @SnowyCA About a dozen years ago, I attended a small meeting at which the head of the Canadian Nuclear Association gave a presentation promoting the use of small modular reactors (SMRs), especially for use at industrial sites in the north (oil, gas, mines, etc.). They had a design called CANDU: Canadian deuterium-uranium.
