@anderspuck 1. It takes 3-1 to be offensive vs the defending part. 2. you can also expect to have up to 50% losses during a military offensive3. In most cases you also use different kind of equipment/forces when defending vs offensive and during the battle of Bakhmut I didn’t see any western weaponry being used.So I think Anders is spot on in his assessment

@anderspuck I think you really hit the nail. Sending F16 is not a quick fix it’s a long term solution. Great video!

@anderspuck I guess the longer the war goes on the more advanced weapons Ukraine will be able to produce.

@anderspuck It seems that the things developed during the Soviet Union work better than the things developed in the 21st century. Suspects that corruption is devastating to Russian innovation.

@anderspuck I think you are spot on!When Russia that have one of the most powerful army failed so miserably in the invasion of Ukraine. What led people to believe that Ukraine would be able to throw the Russians out just by giving them some western tanks!? As Colonel John Warden stated in his book “The Air Campaign: Planning For Combat” no one has won a modern military conflict without air superiority.I think this conflict not will end until Putin is thrown out.

@anderspuck @kimwulff @Coffeebean I think people (politicians) put to much trust in article 5. In reality it’s unproven.

@anderspuck Unfortunately I think the same mistake that was made in 2014 is going to be repeated.

@anderspuck Great video by the way! Hopefully the Russian army is in a worse condition than many thinks. And one could also add that they probably are following Sun Tzus idea that “Attack is the secret of defense”

@anderspuck @EuromaidanPress Interesting theory! Clearly they must have done something to lure the Russians to be operating in a safe distance. The electronic warfare found in modern Western jets is probably something they are not used to.

@NeonPurpleStar @VikingChieftain @eva_chaos Clocks are generally very plastic, I would go for a SIG Sauer P226 or something similar.

@wjmaggos @anneapplebaum I think the West needs to understand that if we let Russia win this or succeed in getting away with too much in future peace talks. It will be like giving a carte blanche to China with Taiwan.

Are paratroopers dead? In the war in Ukraine, there have been discussions about the future of the main battle tank. But perhaps the same could be said of airborne units. Apart from the Battle of Hostomel airport, I have not heard of any airborne operations in the invasion of Ukraine. Traditional airborne units are meant to operate behind enemy lines. But in this war, they seem to be used mostly in frontal assaults. What is the future of airborne units?#Ukraine #military

@VikingChieftain @isaackuo I think so too. We didn’t see it in the first gulf war when there was air superiority. Instead I believe the future are small teams operating behind enemy lines. One thing to remember is that the introduction of helicopters wasn’t made until after ww2. So they didn’t really have many options at hand.

@eva_chaos Intresting with this mail voting system that often is confused in Europe with pre-voting. Which is a completely different system.
