       @gmcgath This was my experience too. Originally gave up after the first episode, thought it was kinda boring and directionless. Then peeps on the birdsite started praising it, saying it was the best show of the year & maybe the best SW property ever? So I tried it again. Ep. 3 is where I got interested for real, and it only got better from there. Now eagerly awaiting season 2.

       @mmasnick I’ve always felt that “echo chambers“ and “filter bubbles” only happen if you *let* them, or especially if you actively seek them out. I’ve only had my own experience to base that on, but it’s been nice to see it bolstered by actual research.

       @Hyolobrika @Popehat You should read closer. Radley explains that “transgenderism” refers to people, not an ideology, and that “eradicating transgenderism” is explicitly eliminationist rhetoric, and that Knowles is smart enough to know this.

       @wjmaggos I wish I were seeing a big flood of journalists leaving X, but too many of them are staying even now. 😕Meanwhile, Bluesky is already taking its first steps towards decentralizing; they recently opened a new (team-only) instance for testing.Don’t know or care about anything Threads does. 🤷‍♂️
