@hund @danyspin97 MX Linux seems fine, but the problem I see with systemd-less distros is that being too big of a feature, and presenting that as the biggest benefit for a "lightweight" OS.I got to give credit to Void and Alpine for putting a far greater focus on general simplicity for the whole system, not just the init system. However this is just my perception.

Everyone give the @postmarketOS mastodon account a follow! They are doing a great job at porting a pure Linux-based operating system on phones with a focus on upstreaming the kernel and providing support for old devices!

@zen I used to use VirtualBox but I'm trying to learn QEMU. QEMU works pretty well if you can figure it out, besides VirtualBox has some proprietary components that make it unable to ship in Debian Main.

Has anyone used fd? It is an alternative to the find command written in Rust. It is faster and easier to use. Also the readme gives you practical examples such as mass converting flac to opus.Give it a try, I really like it.https://github.com/sharkdp/fd

So with the recent carpet bomb of #systemd exploits, Have #all considered an alternative?

@danyspin97 OpenRC is the project I keep hearing about, although isn't it just the regular init on steroids? What is 66 like? (P.S. 66's SEO sucks)The Devuan project lists more. Without Systemd wiki lists every last thing.

@matt @hund Debian can apparently install without systemd according to the wiki.

I have switched to #VoidLinux recently. Enjoying the experience! Somethings don't work since I'm using musl instead of glibc (notably Java and Steam, although Flatpak can fix this.)

@malin I wanted to try the full Unix/BSD/Minimalist experience.RAM usage is musl's advantage.

#JoeRogan did a podcast with #AlexJones.http://podcasts.joerogan.net/podcasts/alex-jones-returnsI tend not to like Infowars, but whenever AJ gets on the JRE podcast it's a whole other experience, 5 hours of WTF, insanity, funniness. Would recommend

@danyspin97 Are you playing with OpenMW? Also why the high number of mods? Isn't the classic factor of the game just as good without?
