@Boomerman @RahowasaurusRex1979 There were two theaters we regularly went to when I was a kid. One was super cozy with a tiny little lobby where they would rotate out old poster and memorabilia. Saw tons of great stuff there and my parents weren’t picky about what they took us to so I got to see a lot of 90s prestige pictures back when those were still a thing. ‘A River Runs Through It’ is still one of my favorites because it was the first film that clued me in to movies maybe being more than lazers and muppets. The other was a big pre-war heritage deal with a light-up starscape painted on a domed ceiling and an orchestra pit where they’d sometimes have live music. Instead of trailers they always showed old animated shorts.A tiny cinema run by our guys would be a huge hit with people until they found out what we are all about.

Such a tiny place with such a massive output. Not sure anywhere else can come close to that. Italy seems like such a leader in style that it can’t be considered anything other than a giant. I can’t recall ever seeing an Aussie movie I didn’t like and they certainly have a domestic movie industry to be envied from this Leaf’s point of view.
