Remember how in Star Trek everyone is oddly infatuated with 20th century arts and culture? And, like, nothing has really been created since the 20th century? It's because of generative AI, right? This is how we get stuck in a feedback loop of 20th century crap.FOREVER!!

The thing I never appreciated about an apocalypse is that multiple catastrophes could be happening all around, and I'd still be going to work and buying school supplies, filing taxes and grocery shopping. That unprecedented times could feel surreal and ordinary all at once. That the world would keep on relentlessly turning even as it was burning.

@Wolven Like how Turing has that whole discussion of telepathy and how plausibly it might ruin the Imitation Game in "Computing, Machine and Intelligence"?I find that section so interesting and wild, but don't know what to make of it! My undergrad minor in Religious Studies is just too long ago, I think!!
