@murtezayesil that’s so nice, I didn’t know GOG sells drm-free games, I’ll start buying games from them now and retire my steam account

@mike @stujr I tried in my mothers laptop so she could use Linux, and her laptop is a budget one, ZorinOS was slow and laggy in that hardware, their pro version is almost 5Gb in size, so I replaced with Ubuntu and it ran a lot smoother, so at the end, I think ZorinOS has a good and pretty interface, but not a good performance

I’m a #Linux user for many years, but I never studied it deeply, and from time to time I always see some conversations about it that I’m curious, but I don’t understand yet. Do you guys have any link, article or video that could explain these two questions for me in an easily way?1. What are the differences between Linux and #BSD? Is there any particular reason why many people chose BSD over Linux?2. Why lot of people dislike #systemd? Thanks! :ablobcatheart:

Just bought a new 5V cooling fan for my #raspberry pi 4B that says it's more silent, it'll probably arrive tomorrow. The one I have here it looks like an airplane engine, impossible to work and concentrate with this thing next to me, and if I turn it off, the raspberry goes to around 70C ... no #pihole today, let's wait for the new cooling fan to arrive

@nebunez yeah, my friend is constantly inviting me to play it, and I haven't heard about this game ... when I saw that it's a game developed by Amazon, I knew that I'd never touch this game, ever.

Thinking about buying a Samsung phone, probably S10 and install #LineageOS, which has an official build for this model, and sell my #iPhone. Unfortunately where I live we basically have Samsung, Xiaomi and Motorola … no Pixel, OnePlus etc.#freedom #surveillance #surveillancecapitalism #foss #opensource #floss #android

@rudolf I had a xiaomi in the past, to unlock the boot loader is a pain in the ass, you basically need to ask xiaomi permission for it, I hated that

@person @nebunez I’m not that extreme yet regarding privacy, but also not careless to play a game by Amazon too

Any recommendations for a multiplayer #game that runs on #Linux and it’s stress-free? I’m avoiding any competitive games like mobas, shooters etc. I just want a relax gaming experience and play with friends :ablobcatheart:

@person agree, as many things in life, you need self control, I’m a casual gamer, don’t have much patience anymore to play hours like before, I just play to hangout a little with friends

@RTP is there a way to add a proxy after the exit node? I know that before the entry node I can use a Tor bridge, but I’m interested after the exit node, because many websites block Tor users, so a proxy after the exit node would help mitigate that

Nice, my #popos simply doesn’t want to boot anymore, yesterday at night it was working fine, I turned off and went to sleep. Now I turn my laptop on, type the LUKS password, it says “decrypted successfully” and then a black screen appears and nothing happens … good that two days ago I backed up my things to an external drive, or I’d be screwed … always backup your things to an external drive, always.#popos #linux #backup

Nice, all government websites in my country do not accept #protonmail accounts, all of them say that it’s an invalid email, I opened a ticket and they refuse to fix it, their response was to use providers like #gmail or #outlook like everyone else🤡

Today, a #Linux alias saved my digital memories. Because I'm stupid, I have installed trash-cli and created an alias: alias rm="trash". Now, every time I use the rm command, it uses instead the trash command, which also deletes files and folders, but it sends them to the trash instead. And today was one of those days that I accidentally rm'ed my personal pictures folders with all my family memories ... Never doubt how stupid you can be even with years of Linux experience :ablobfoxbongo:
