@sir What’s a good alternative to ProtonMail? Multi-device, zero configuration end-to-end encryption that my mother could use? (Legitimately curious, not trolling)

@sir I wasn’t making a fanciful feature request list. Those are the features that ProtonMail currently has. And I believe that’s why people use it. 🤔 Easy encryption.

@sir oh, do you think they keep copies of the keys around? Do you have a source? (Again, legitimately curious, not trolling)

@angristan the only one I’ve ever been able to understand is MIT. I’ve tried to read the others, even their summaries, they’re just too confusing.

@kev @uglyduck I agree CSS is usually more good than bad. IMO JavaScript is usually more bad than good. Let’s keep 90% of the CSS, and get rid of 90% of the JavaScript. 😉

I finally got around to choosing and migrating email for my domain away from Google.I ended up going with Fastmail and I'm pretty happy so far. Migration process was easy and their web UI really is fast! :) I forgot what it was like to have an actually good web-app in 2022.Fastmail's Masked Email seems better than Apple's Hide My Email. 600 addresses vs. 50, and you can reply. If anyone else is looking to take the plunge you can use my referral link for 10% off your first year.https://ref.fm/u28199077

@DeveloperMemes second one. For the reasons stated about The logic short circuiting. But also because of the short circuiting, it is easier for humans to read one at a time as well.

I haven't set up #typescript project in a while. It might just be me, but it seems much more difficult to get up and running than it used to be.I took the friction as an opportunity to try out some of the newer compiled toolchains written in #rust or #golangI ended up giving https://parceljs.org a shot, and it certainly makes setup way easier and compilation way faster. So far I'm liking #parcel for a get up and running performant TypeScript toolchain 😄
