New (used) #NAS on the way to replace my aged system. 🙂 A PC with a Intel i5-8400 (2.8GHz ) (6 Core) 8GB. (Will later have 16GB of RAM since I have a spare 8GB stick here) 😎 This will open up some new doors - the current one is a 2 core very low end CPU which struggles hard currently.New #homelab fun incoming soon 😎 (Btw: Got it really cheap, so it was time to upgrade 👍 )

Can anyone recommend a ergonomic office chair which does not break the bank? 🙂 What I look for:- Comfortable- Not too expensive- Ergonomic- Should be durable- No gaming stuff needed at all

Tech hoarding (on a small level) really is amazing. 😆 Just remembered that I had a OptiPlex with a i7 8700 laying around the room....I can take the CPU from that system and put it into a refurb PC that I have (That one has a i5 8500 currently).And a new PC with a great CPU was born out of the ashes of my tech hoarding addiction 😂 Next step: Cleanung up the PC - got dusty quite a bit!A new workstation was born 😀

If you use yt-dlp you can specify directly that you want the best audio/video quality and the resulting video file should be a .mp4 😎 yt-dlp -f "bestvideo[ext=mp4]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/best[ext=mp4]/best" $URL

@kzimmermann So much this!My $DAYJOB also runs pretty much all on Windows... let me tell you, running a Windows workstation these days is like buying the most expensive racing car ever which only runs in snail mode.The ads... so much ads! (Don't get me started on that)You can throw high end hardware at that OS and still have a garbage experience.Well, at home we are free - only Linux and BSD here (And a Windows install for work that gets booted every full moon)
