       @textfiles ripco was the first place I remember that enforced secure passwords. The system generated a password from letters and numbers and didn’t let you choose your own. 39 years later I still use a (more secure) variant of it some places.

       Hello frens, I am in great need of ASCII or better yet EBCDIC printer art of any kind. I am looking for a copy of the “Princeton Pictures Tape” which I have seen a soft copy of somewhere, as well as any other mainframe/midrange/minicomputer printer art of any kinds. Calendars, pinups, Snoopy, anything. Pointers and boosts appreciated!(special s/o to @bitsavers and @textfiles because I think this is right up their alley)

       @2600 why the fuck would anyone be asking you about being on that surveillance nightmare.  I’ve read you for years, actually decades, and fighting the surveillance state has always been a goal of yours.
