So my little Gentoo adventure has been completed. And my thoughts about it is that its not really something to do in 2019. Computers are too powerfull to get any difference for self compiling.openRC vs systemd is just some internet bs. They work around the same for the end user. So im not really gonna bother.Im thinking about doing Arch now as a lightweight tiling os over Gentoo. As what got me away from it is the compile times for almost no difference.#gentoo #linux #arch

So I have a newfound push to start blogging again. How and what should I use that's privacy friendly and cheap on the money side. (Configuration is just fun, so VPS etc is on the table)I want it to be statically run and preferably be able to have control over having php scripts running or similar.

@ohyran Its more about his own way to do hormone replacement therapy. Not that much about sweden but will teach you what drugs to try and avoid and what they do to you permanently.

So i got my Rpi4b today. All exited to set it up as my own 2nd computer as a project. It runs idle at 65c, running x with just xterm rises it to 72c. Room temperature is 21c. Everything is upgraded and without any case. I feel so ripped off and i am returning this piece of garbage of a SOC. #rpi #raspberry #pi

@umbr3lla bought it mainly for the 4k support. Well I use it on a 1440p monitor but it seems to kill the soc with heat. No idea how they are able to run 2x 4k with a workload without throttling

@umbr3lla would only delay the heat settling. You'd need a big heatsink or active cooling. Neither is what I want out of a soc.

My #vpn tab is just filled with Firefox's VPN.Just so you know, VPNs are not the saviour that they claim to be in advertisments. Please do not fall for routing all your personal data to some company based in panama for "security" from the hackers or privacy. VPNs are not really private unless you know exactly how to stay private, which is almost none of the current main stream VPN services' users.

@ohyran Well i have had that link for 2.5 years now and still have to get motivated enough to set it up. Its alot of work and beeing right in that kind of space is really important.

Damn #fedora 31 with #gnome 3.34 is butter smooth on my ultra-wide 100hz. I recommend everyone to upgrade if they use GNOME.Also have a #screenshotsunday posted not on a sunday.

Due to the ongoing pandemic and schools beeing closed, I have gotten a lot of free time at home. I have spendt this free time the past few days finally setting up qemu with gpu passtrough. With some scripting and reading on arch wikis iwe been able to set up one of the comfiest setups iwe had in a while. Windows games only a Win+Tab keyboard shortcut away.Also early #screenshotsunday #gnome #qemu #kvm

And also how it tries to conclude with a "nothings gonna change".Snowden leaked all the highly classified information to the press. While this was whistleblowers directly contacting the tet (the danish intelligence and oversight board) whos job it is to regulate and oversee danish intelligence. Tet is already working to reform said intelligence operations. Starting with the head of FE getting kicked out.
