       @mttaggart I think I heard that's one of the use cases it ships with. I don't know that I would pay a lot extra for that for my use cases, it's a nice touch and for some environments it could be super helpful.

       @sickmatter @mttaggart I don't know why ActivePub would care. If you don't want people to be able to tell they are blocked, the correct answer would seem to be for the destination server to accept the message and throw it out.

       @NosirrahSec @sickmatter @mttaggart sorry maybe I wasn't clear or maybe am not following. I agree that users shouldn't see messages from people they block. I also think that the system should be careful to not let people who have been blocked know that they are blocked. The obvious way to be to accomplish that is for my server to throw out any messages sent to me by people I have blocked - that way only my server knows who I block minimizing the opportunity for the sender to find out they are blocked. All this is to say that it seems like a mastodon issue and not an ActivePub issue to me.
