Long overdue for an #introduction but here goes. I am Jeff.I’m a husband to a lovely wife of 8+ years and we have two beautiful small children and a #cairnterrier in the #midwest. I’m an #agnostic #Christian (if that makes sense) who mostly sits on the sidelines because I’m scared shitless of fundamentalists/theocracy and am always challenging and evaluating my own beliefs. I ask too many questions. Years ago I would’ve said I’m a conservative but today I find it hard to identify as one given the hard right crazies, fascists and racists who seem to have taken control of the #gqp. I am pro #democracy #humanrights #environment #truth #fairness #justice #equality #science #socialservices and think those who are fortunate enough should pay their fair share. I’ve been in the #security industry for over a decade now. I’ve built and led several risk, compliance and engineering teams. In my past life I did #consulting and before that was a systems #engineer. Currently I’m leading a #grc team at a late stage #fintech #startup. I‘ve dealt with lows, anxiety and feelings of insecurity at periods throughout my life. I can sometimes come across as cold but it’s more than likely because I’m nervous. I can get really passionate about things or hyper focused to where I tune out everything around me. I’m a work in progress. #mentalhealthI love #art, #writing, #film, #photography, #music. I am an avid #news junky and beginner piano player. I was always a lurker at the other place but am much more engaged here on #mastodon. The people are so much nicer! Stay beautiful folks ❤️
