@qwertyoruiop At least you'll be able to upgrade the storage (I'm sure there will be cheaper 3rd party options)https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/875970/How+is+the+SSD+installed?permalink=answer-876343#answer876343

I had never heard of The Manhole before, but it was a children's game made in HyperTalk by the brothers that would later make Myst, released in 1988https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kX5E7yOHJg

@fozztexx Because macOS no longer supports tun(4) devices which OpenSSH's VPN support requiresThough you can still use -D for SOCKS proxying

@mms We're not allowed to distribute binary tarsnap packages so that must have been one you compiled yourself and needs manual updatinghttps://github.com/Tarsnap/tarsnap/issues/351

@mms We have a port of it, but we can't distribute packages built from that port.Presumably you did 'pkg_add -u' to update all installed packages but since there's no tarsnap package found on your current mirror, it gave that warning. You would need to build your own package from the port of it (cd /usr/ports/sysutils/tarsnap; SUDO=doas make install) in an updated ports tree. For what it's worth, this upgrade hassle was part of the reason I stopped using Tarsnap. The other reason was their pricing is kind of ridiculous compared to everything else. I switched to using restic on top of rsync.net.

Years of remembering CSS's bounds shorthand order "t r b l" is now regularly clashing in my head with trying to remember QuickDraw's Rect bounds order which is "l t r b"I always used "trouble" as a mnemonic to remember CSS and I'm now trying to use "litterbug" for QuickDraw

@dillera Hmm, it does look like a Mac problem. I did a tcpdump on my router and no traffic is leaving the Mac destined for that host when doing a poll, so I'm not sure why MacTCP is reporting -23015 (openFailed). I rebooted it and it's working now...

@dillera Very strange, my OpenBSD firewall has also been dropping outbound traffic from that Mac destined for the binkp server due to some weirdness in the SYN packet from the Mac. Apparently it had been doing this for a month because I got an email from the hub saying my node was put on hold. I didn't notice anything because it's able to process inbound TCP connections just fine so telnet was always working.I just implemented a workaround proxying the outbound traffic through another machine (though also OpenBSD) with socat and it's now downloading and processing a month of packets from the hub :/The Mac had always been on MacTCP 2.1 though and I even reinstalled it from a fresh copy and it didn't fix it. I have no idea what's going on.
