       I cannot decide which has been more of a timesink this last year, #Emacs or #Nix.Over my lifetime, Emacs wins hands down. Nix, however, is coming up strong.Both are esoteric, Turing-complete, unopinionated in their seemingly infinite flexibility and surrounded by incomplete, outdated and sometimes entirely broken documentation. An endless stream of problems that yield incremental improvements.It’s no wonder Emacsen refuse to give up their environments after all the investment!
