@calculsoberic Well, I'm glad to hear about your recovery. CBT is extremely effective from my research and I have implemented some of its techniques in my own life. I deal with a severe mental illness, so I take any tools I can to ensure I live a good life.

@calculsoberic I have found that most things in life require constant practice, even things where we have a lot of talent. Psychotherapy, from both my research and experience, requires constant practice to undo years' worth of negative thinking patters, trauma responses, etc. Just like any skill!

@calculsoberic It can feel like there's no way out, no hope for the future (don't get me started on the concept of hope), and so on. But just like coding, playing a game, building something, constant practice will see you meet success in some form. It may be small at first, but it takes only a small step to make a change.

I think the thing that will finally get me to stop using #Reddit is that godawful #hegetsus ad campaign. I've done everything I can do to stop seeing it, including blocking the user, but it inevitably pops up again not long after.Instead of wasting money on ads to recruit people into an archaic religion that has done more harm than good, why not do what Jesus actually said and serve the poor and destitute? I'm not even a Christian and I understand that better than they seem to.
