@stigatle Do you know of any good freedom-respecting opportunities or companies to consider in south Norway that would be willing to support a work visa?

@lunduke It would also be useful to include a killswitch for the USB-C data pins to prevent unauthorized data transfer at questionable public charging stations.

@killyourfm This must be the complete opposite end of the spectrum of free and open-source software.

#Debian has been my daily-driver #Linux distribution for many years and has a very dear place in my heart, but can we (myself included) please toss a coin to a webdev and revamp debian.org?The first few minutes of the following video by @thelinuxcast is a great example of how confusing it is for a new user to merely discover which ISO to use:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzvpBz6PE8c

@killyourfm Totally understandable! There are so many amazing paths we can take in life. Sometimes we should stop rushing forward and take a look around for a little while to appreciate the view. After all, your own battery must be charged before lighting the way for others. 😊

From my experience, my #Android devices require numerous #Google libraries in order to function properly with #GoogleFi, my current carrier. However, I swapped the physical SIM into my #Librem5 (#GNU #Linux, not Android) and calls, SMS, and mobile data worked out of the box. Great job, @purism!!Next, I'd love to migrate to a Librem mobile plan once it's possible to transfer my existing number. 😊

#Waydroid uses a container-based approach to boot a full #Android system on a #GNU #Linux computer. It's also now on #OpenCollective! Donations or sponsorships are greatly welcomed and help accelerate Waydroid's development. This is something I'm personally excited about because it lets me run banking apps, etc, on my #Purism #Librem5 to make it viable as a primary phone.https://opencollective.com/waydroid

@BrodieOnLinux Yet another case for using the #NewPipe app on #Android: no #YouTube ads!

@killyourfm If I'm not having fun doing a "Scandinavian flick" in my Subaru or turning an extended-wheelbase work truck onto a narrow street, I agree. 😉

@BrodieOnLinux Wayland via Debian Live. I wrote a suite of customization scripts to enable optional persistence and various quality-of-life extras on my desktops/servers. I've daily-driven this method for over 2 years and don't worry about OS upgrades/migrations or what x86-64 hardware I'm using:https://gitlab.com/jcstaudt/debian-live

December 2023 and covid finally caught me... I'm fully vaccinated/boosted, though, so it feels like a bad cold (or maybe the flu, but I've never had the flu AFAIK).

There are times when it is better to do something right than to do nothing wrong.
