       @Teri_Kanefield Thanks for settling me down. I would have loved to see the disinformation peddlers at Fox have to testify in detail about their lies. However, the discovery process already revealed the core information, for anyone who wants to know it (Fox viewers don't). One risk of allowing the case to go forward was that SCOTUS could have weakened the Sullivan standard. I hope the settlement does embolden others with good cases to sue Fox. Death by a thousand cuts.

       @StillIRise1963 I appreciate this thread and all the replies. If we white people do the work to understand what people in our ancestral lineages did to foster white supremacy - and the ways those actions materially benefited us - and act to dismantle white supremacy in the present, in whatever way we can, that makes a huge difference. E.g., my paternal grandfather became a doctor in the early 1900s and joined the AMA. The AMA took action to bar Black people from medical education & practice. 1/

       @StillIRise1963 Barring Black people from medical practice = little access to health care for Black people for 50 years, til the Civil Rights Act, because most white doctors didn't treat Black people. That cost hundreds of thousands of lives. My grandfather never killed anyone with his own hands, as far as I know - he was known for saving lives - but he participated actively in a system that did. And that's just one ancestor! I don't deny him, he's literally part of my body - 2/

       @Nonilex His Gestapo. His KGB. Immigrants would be only its first targets. We need to fight this on the state and local level and make sure Congress doesn’t fund it.
