@clive Here’s a couple words I like to use instead of content.Writing that isn’t an individual perspective or expression is called copy.Video to fill in is called b-roll or stock footage.Music that’s for the mundane utility of filling silence is called muzak, elevator music, samples, and even, some movie soundtracks.

Like calling people Software Engineers instead of Programmers, or people using the word bespoke instead of custom, I think asking people to stop calling what they make “content” is probably a losing battle at this point. @clive I agree. I've been peeking at Threads as well. Since the main feed algorithm “knows me” pretty well as an Instagram user, it shows me nice photography and design stuff. But this is my social media home base. There's tons of wonderful nerds here.

@futurebird When I was a kid in Puerto Rico, some kids filled those empty Export Sodas giant cans with marbles they've been collecting for years. Also, every Puerto Rican grandma had these in the pantries.

@zeldman Saw this for the first time a few days ago. Such a great film. I feel like this was the blueprint for Zodiac and Spotlight. Mark Ruffalo and Downey Jr are basically aping Hoffman’s character.
