It's just trickled into #caturday here in the far eastern time zones, so I'm going to share photos of one kitten, Foppa.A beautiful little soul, we only had him for less than two weeks, before illness took him.One of my last memories of him will haunt me forever. I was holding him and I noticed that a plant was wilting, so I put him down to go water it. I've always thought I put him down too roughly and hurt him. I'll never know if I did but I regret my roughness and really miss him.

I called him Foppa because his bright blue eyes (a sign of his young age) reminded me of the #hockey legend, Peter Forsberg.I found him in March 2017, when I heard his screams from our balcony. He was crawling along the street, using only his front legs (his hind legs seemingly paralysed), and he had soiled himself.I washed him, fed him a bit, and then let him rest overnight, thinking he was going to die soon. The next morning, he was not only still alive, he was walking!

In the days that followed, he progressed to cleaning himself (massively positive sign), eating pellets at his own leisure, and sleeping comfortably.Just look at him sleeping in the third photo here! I'm falling in love all over again! 😭 😭 😭

And this is one of my favourite photos I've ever taken, resolution be damned.Foppa also quickly found a best friend in another rescued kitten, Gothmog (another sweetheart). He spent the remainder of his days playing with him and following him around like a little brother.Here, he was watching Gothmog clean himself. And finally, Foppa falling asleep in my hands.Even though we couldn't save him, if I hadn't heard his screams, he would have died two weeks sooner, alone, on the side of the street. But in those two weeks he got, he was as happy as can be. He had a warm bed, a best friend in Gothmog, and two humans to give him treats and cuddles 24/7.Six years later, I still can't shake the pain of losing him but I'll always appreciate that he embraced his extra chance at life. May we all be as strong. ❤️

@lowqualityfacts Dangerous toot.I know someone who knew someone else who could see ghosts, and they said that the absolutely worst thing you could do is acknowledge a ghost. They're dead, they're grumpy, they inhabit an ethereal plane that is neither here nor there. The last thing they need is the not-yet-dead trying to talk to them. So be careful about trying to apologise to a ghost; you might invite a haunting.
