The close relationship between #Microsoft & #OpenAI has me concerned as a #SoftwareEngineerI've seen many examples of people using #ChatGPT to generate #Software code. So I wondered, what #SWDev data does ChatGPT train on?Since Microsoft has already invested $1 Billion in OpenAI, with another $10B on the way, I can only assume #VSCode & #VisualStudio are being used to collect #SoftwareDeveloper code for training data#VSCodium is a #DataPrivacy alternative:https://vscodium.com#GameDev

       🚨 Related to this thread, I just spotted an interesting Microsoft open-source code copyright violation lawsuit connected to its GitHub Copilot AI service/feature based on OpenAI tech...https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/joseph-saveri-law-firm-and-matthew-butterick-file-class-action-lawsuit-against-github-microsoft-and-openai-over-violations-of-open-source-licenses-arising-from-github-copilot-an-ai-based-product-301668255.htmlhttps://www.saverilawfirm.com/our-cases/github-copilot-intellectual-property-litigation#Microsoft #GitHub #Copilot #AI #OpenAI #OSS #OpenSource #Copyright #Lawsuit #GameDev #SWDev #SoftwareDevelopmer #Coder #Developer #SWEngineer #SoftwareEngineer #DataPrivacy

@internetarchive I'm concerned about my old Web site content being used for AI training by Google. Is there a Terms of Service policy, etc. displayed on your platform that prevents content being used in this way?

@internetarchive I notice my websites are still being scraped by your bots even though I manually denied all bots in my robots.txt files a year or two ago. WayBackMachine was great before the age of modern AI, but not now. I don't want companies using your APIs to scrape my content to train their AI models. I thought I read if I denied bots in robots.txt, you'd automatically pull related website content from your archives... but my content remains on your servers.
