@alex is there a way to make the Local and Fediverse timelines more easily accessible when using mobile? I feel luke a lot of people would be signing up via their phones and not know to open the side menu to access those timelines.

sounds like I made the right choice getting rid of them. Issues with 10grans and Soapbox not working well were really my only 2 complaints with GoToSocial. I knew it was considered alpha software, so I didn't let it bother me to much and just used Pinafore and Tusky while waiting for things to improve. Still, good luck to them and hopefully they decide to work better with other projects.

I remember older versions having tabs across the top of the timeline to switch between them. Maybe implement a quick walkthrough/tutorial or something the first time a new user logs in? Just throwing ideas out. A lot of people I try converting use Facebook and are clueless when signing in, so I figure a quick explainer might help retain them.

@msilvya you'll find that a lot of devs working on Fediverse projects have issues with Alexs beliefs and opinions. You'll also find that those same beliefs and opinions are far more sane compared to those of the people who have problems with him. Also (based on my experience alone) Alex is always quick to answer any question or try to help solve any issues you may have.@alex @matty

@alex do you plan to package Rebased & Soapbox for Yunohost for us less tech savy folks? I bought a be domain that I plan on switching to soon and stick with Yunhost because every time I host more than ome thing I break stuff. Yunohost has Fedi backends, Nextcloud amd a few other things I use and make it dead simple. I could go with Akkoma as a backend since vanilla Pleroma seems to be stalled. I'm not familiar with it tho.

@alex that's what I planned, was just curious what steps I would need to take. Doing some reading now amd from my understanding I should be able to clone the Yunohost Pleroma package and adapt a few things. We'll see how it goes.

@s8n @jeffcliff Sandy Hook was a hoax and didn't happen, just comes to mind off the top. Or was that claim due to psychosis? I'm sure some of his claims are true. I've watched so much of him and it's not hard to tell he's crazy. Entertaining, but crazy.
