Both describe gravity, but general relativity is more correct—it describes how the Universe works in every situation we’ve managed to test. But 99.99 percent of the time, Newtonian gravity and general relativity give the same answer, and Newtonian gravity is much easier to use. So unless we’re near a black hole, or making precision measurements of time with an optical clock, Newtonian gravity is good enough.Similarly classical mechanics and quantum mechanics both describe motions and interactions. The precision of current optical clocks is astounding. You may have heard that time goes more slowly when gravity is strong due to general relativity. Optical clocks are so sensitive they can measure the different flows of time 2cm apart in height. If I lay a book on the table, the bottom of the book is slightly closer to the center of the Earth than the top, so experiences slightly stronger gravity. This difference is measurable with an optical clock. Optical clocks are so sensitive we can no longer average the time of multiple clocks together—the ground you or a clock are sitting on typically rises and falls by ~5cm a day due to land tides. Vivaldi now has a calendar! hurray!now i can use my gmail with my nextcloud calendar much more easilysync is pretty spotty the first time. but after that all works really well (in my 5 hours of use)

@kuba @redstarfish @unfa if it’s GPL software then yes, they can sell it.But then they also have to contribute any changes they make, back upstream. and provide source code.

This is my second copy of Mickey Petersen’s #MasteringEmacs.The first one got torn and tattered as I struggled and learnt just enough #Emacs to make it my text editor. Finally it got peed on by a baby 😂Hopefully this one will last longer and not meet such a grisly end!
