@Sycaid I've heard that, but am only aware of it being an issue at Festival. There simply aren't enough trans people for it to be a huge issue in everyday lesbian or gay lives.

@Chronic-Yonic @Terfest__Shadow I haven't had trouble finding lesbian-only or lesbian/bi places and haven't experienced the pushiness of trans women you describe, so it's not ubiquitous. I've only known a few trans women, one of whom IDed as lesbian, and none of them was pushy at all. There just aren't that enough of them for some coordinated infiltration. I'm not attracted to them, and I'm sorry that young butches feel pressured to transition, but there's just not that big a threat. Lesbian spaces aren't dying out because of a threat from trans women but because we're accepted in all kinds of spaces in a way we weren't 45 years ago when I came out.

@Terfest__Shadow I think the pressure on young women is awful and that if gender roles had no limits, not many would feel the need. Still there is some miniscule percentage that know from preschool age that they are in the wrong body.I didn't think it was much of an argument, but there just aren't that many transpeople in the world, and it's not all that difficult to avoid.

@Babayaga I'm not confused or angry. I stumbled into a space that seems to only be about hating trans people and haven't had a chance to explore what else might be here. Your assumptions about me are likely wrong. I don't feel all that comfortable with all the transitioning going on, but I figure that's for me to deal with. I don't live in separatist circles. You have no call to judge any "massive disinterest in the lives of lesbians and the terrible pressure on womens rights" since you never got a chance to know me.I might have been more interested in learning about the current experiences of young lesbians, but nah.

@Sycaid The one where the dykes grew up, some had kids, including boys, some got married, a few even transitioned, and more called themselves queer. In my dimension there was evolution. It doesn't mean that we don't think men aren't fucking up the world, but they are in our families, where we've reared them to be good ones. The ones in my orbit are too busy having families to coerce unwilling lesbians to have sex.Is everyone still in their mid-20s in your world? How do you know so many trans women, or is it all done with mirrors?
