@CDuBois @Andre And just think of the enormous stresses that were on Eisenhower's shoulders for so many years. The things he accomplished, the responsibilities he had just during WWII and afterward.You and I and all in our age range grew up knowing what a hero he was for winning the war.It's surprising he was in any shape at all by the age of 71.

But at this point, if I'm being honest, I'd just really appreciate competence. Oh, and honesty. Integrity, of course. Beginning with McCain himself, then Nicole Wallace--she of MSNBC-- Steve Schmidt, McCain's campaign manager, who is now listed as a Democrat. Dems gonna Dem, but it was the R's in that situation who really demonstrated the rot, the lies, the lack of principle and character.My vote for McCain is only surpassed by my vote for Romney in my list of "Disgusting Things I Did that I regret."

Watching old shows from the 80's and 90's, it's astonishing how often Donald Trump is mentioned.I'd be happy to let him be POTUS for as long as he wants the job. Or at least until we've got a cast-iron system in place that the slackers can't wreck again. Which is probably what the Founding Fathers did their best to deliver. Took the slackers 200+ years to do it in.
